An online meeting of the TEAM-EU-UA project partners took place

On May 13, 2026, an online working meeting was held for the partners of the project “Developing Team Spirit for the Implementation and Integration of EU Values in Ukraine” (TEAM-EU-UA), which is co-funded by the European Union.

The event was organized by the project coordinator NGO “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORTS. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE”. Representatives of partner organizations from Ukraine and European Union countries joined the meeting, including the European School Sport Federation, the Institute for the Development of Sport and Education, the Ukrainian School Sports Federation, and the A. S. Makarenko Sumy State Pedagogical University.

During the meeting, key agenda items were discussed, including:

  • the status of the TEAM-EU-UA project implementation;
  • involving Polish partners in project activities;
  • organizing online events in the city of Sumy;
  • preparing for and participating in an international conference in Brussels;
  • further steps for cooperation and coordination among partners.

Participants discussed activities already implemented, current results, and mechanisms for further collaboration. Representatives of partner organizations shared information about the work being carried out in their countries and institutions, and outlined their vision for future events within the project.

Representatives of the Ukrainian Student Sports Federation reported on the outcomes of the events held in Kyiv and presented feedback from participants. Particular attention was paid to the practical results of the activities, the involvement of children and youth in the initiatives, and the promotion of European values through sports, teamwork, and non-formal education.

Partners from Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A. S. Makarenko presented plans for the upcoming meeting, scheduled for May 22–23, 2026, and outlined the main areas of preparation for future events.

European partners shared their own vision for the next steps in implementing the project, particularly regarding strengthening international cooperation, exchanging experiences, engaging target groups, and promoting European values in the fields of education, physical education, and sports.

The meeting provided an opportunity to track the project’s progress, agree on mechanisms for cooperation and coordination among partners, and identify priority areas for further activities. Particular attention was paid to issues of team spirit, leadership, inclusion, social integration, and support for children and youth, particularly internally displaced persons and children with special educational needs.

Holding such working meetings is an important element of the effective implementation of the TEAM-EU-UA project; it contributes to strengthening partnerships, coordinating joint actions, and promoting European values in Ukraine through education, sports, and youth initiatives.
