Europe Day Flashmob: We are a Team, We are Europeans (TEAM-EU-UA)

As part of the project “Developing Team Spirit for the Implementation and Integration of EU Values in Ukraine / TEAM-EU-UA”, a bright flash mob was held on May 9, Europe Day in Ukraine, to promote European values, physical activity, and a healthy lifestyle among schoolchildren.
The purpose of the event was to draw attention to the importance of physical activity as a factor in the development, unity, strength of mind, and European identity of schoolchildren.
The project coordinator, PhD in Physical Education and Sports, Associate Professor, Head of the NGO YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORTS. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE Iaroslav Galan, who emphasized that today it is more important than ever to support young people through physical activity and to form a common value space with the European Union.
Angela Pochynok, Deputy Director for Educational Work, emphasized the importance of active participation of students in educational and patriotic activities that form a conscious, responsible and value-oriented generation.
A special highlight of the event was a demonstration performance by Diana Maksymchuk, a student of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports and Rehabilitation at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, Master of Sports in Rhythmic Gymnastics, who showed the audience the grace, strength and grace of Ukrainian sport.
The event culminated in a flashmob program led by Olena Moroz, Associate Professor, Candidate of Science in Physical Education and Sports, Senior Researcher of the Active Nation project. The bright, dynamic and inspiring flashmob united students around European symbols, movement and emotional unity. The participants performed synchronized movements with the flags of Ukraine and the European Union, turning the schoolyard into a space of joy, respect and harmony.
Professor, Doctor of Science in Physical Education and Sports Oleksandr Tomenko also addressed the participants of the event, emphasizing the role of physical activity as one of the tools for improving the health and social unity of young people.
Miloš Zirić, coordinator of the European School Sports Federation, also joined the event, supporting the initiative as an example of the implementation of European educational and sports approaches at the local level.
The event demonstrated how the joint efforts of educators, scientists, NGOs and students can create an active, conscious and value-based environment that unites Ukraine with the European community.
