Presentation of project results at the plenary session of the XXV International Scientific and Practical Conference of Young Scientists (Sumy, Ukraine)

On November 27, 2025, at the A. S. Makarenko Sumy State Pedagogical University, we are honored to present the results of our work at the plenary session of the XXV International Scientific -practical conference of young scientists “CURRENT PROBLEMS OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS OF DIFFERENT POPULATION GROUPS”, dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Physical Culture.

Together with Yaroslav Galan, Candidate of Sciences in Physical Education and Sports, Associate Professor, Project Coordinator, together with Doctor of Science in Physical Education and Sports, Professor Oleksandr Tomenko, presented a report at the plenary session of the conference: “FEATURES OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE TEAM-EU-UA PROJECT AS A TOOL FOR INTRODUCING EUROPEAN VALUES AMONG REFUGEE CHILDREN”.

The NGO “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORTS. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE” is the coordinator of the project “Development of Team Spirit for the Implementation and Incorporation of EU Values in Ukraine” (TEAM-EU-UA), co-financed by the European Union. Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A. S. Makarenko is a reliable partner.

Together with our partners, we have successfully completed the first year of the project: important events were held in Belgium, Poland, Kyiv, and Chernivtsi, aimed at promoting sports, increasing physical activity, and forming a healthy lifestyle and team spirit as tools for integrating European values in Ukraine.

In the report, we presented the key activities and objectives of the project:

  • the results of a survey conducted among target groups;
  • the capabilities of our project website with a news section,
  • subscription to updates, and educational materials;
  • examples of information boards for schools with which we cooperate;
  • our project team’s experience of visiting the European Parliament as the center of European democracy.

The results of the survey made it possible to structure the content of the training modules, which include areas such as leadership, inclusion, gender equality, fair play, environmental awareness, and tolerance. The materials developed as part of the TEAM-EU-UA project will form the basis for the development of educational programs aimed at building leadership and communication skills among teachers and students in the context of integrating European standards into Ukraine’s education and sports systems.

We are moving forward to support refugee children, internally displaced persons, and all Ukrainian youth through sport, education, and shared European values.
