TEAM-EU-UA Project Partners’ Working Meeting: Preparations for the International Conference and Upcoming Events

July 9, 2026, an online working meeting was held between the coordinator and partners of the project “Development of Team Spirit for the Implementation and Incorporation of EU Values in Ukraine” (TEAM-EU-UA), which is co-funded by the European Union.

Representatives from all partner organizations in the consortium participated in the meeting. The main focus was on preparations for the International Conference “Promoting European Sports for Migrant and Refugee Children”, which will be one of the project’s key international events and will bring together representatives of educational institutions, researchers, sports organizations, and the civil society sector from various countries.

Representatives of the European School Sports Federation — Miloš Zirić and Gorica Bilak — presented their vision for organizing the conference and highlighted key organizational aspects of hosting the international meeting in Brussels, Belgium. In their remarks, they underscored the importance of high-quality research papers, the active involvement of international partners, and the significance of the conference as a platform for exchanging experiences, developing international cooperation, and promoting European values through sports.

During the meeting, the partners discussed in detail the requirements for preparing and submitting abstracts, organizational issues related to the conference, the format for the participation of international experts and attendees, as well as the preparation of the conference proceedings, which will be published on the project’s official website upon completion. Special attention was given to expanding international cooperation by involving new partners from various countries in the conference, which will help strengthen the project’s international dimension.

The project coordinator — NGO “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORTS. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE” — presented the project’s future implementation plan and announced a sports and educational event for children who are internally displaced persons and children affected by the war. The event will showcase best practices, teaching materials, educational programs, and interactive activities developed by TEAM-EU-UA partners as part of the project.

The meeting participants reaffirmed their shared vision for the project’s continued implementation, identified key organizational steps for preparing the international conference, and expressed their readiness to actively collaborate to ensure the successful execution of the planned activities.

The working meeting once again demonstrated the high level of interaction among the partners and the importance of international cooperation in promoting European values through education, sports, and team spirit.
