“We Move Together” – Best Practices of TEAM-EU-UA Implementation during the European Week of Sport

On September 26, 2025, at the Volodymyr Buzenko Secondary School in Velykokuchuriv, with the support of the Velykokuchuriv Village Council and on the initiative of the public organization YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORTS. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE, a vibrant sporting event called “We Move Together” was held, dedicated to European Week of Sport.

The purpose of the event was to promote European sports, increase physical activity among schoolchildren, foster a healthy lifestyle, and affirm national and European values in today’s world.
Participants and guests had the opportunity to enjoy an inspiring demonstration of artistic gymnastics, which was the highlight of the ceremony.

Representatives of the school administration and the head of a public organization, candidate of sciences in physical education and sports, associate professor Yaroslav Galan, also spoke at the opening ceremony, emphasizing the importance of such events in today’s world. He stressed that European Week of Sport is a great opportunity to promote physical activity, a healthy lifestyle, and European values. Such initiatives help to shape an active lifestyle among the younger generation and contribute to a healthy future for Ukraine.

Under the guidance of Olena Moroz, candidate of sciences in physical education and sports, associate professor, master of sports in artistic gymnastics, a vivid patriotic exercise session took place. The children performed exercises with the flags of Ukraine and the European Union, which gave the event special symbolism and created an atmosphere of unity and inspiration.

The schoolchildren then took part in dynamic relays with elements of European sports, which were led by Mykhailo Arseniuk, chief judge of the competition and master of sports in athletics. He not only explained and demonstrated the exercises, but also motivated the children to be active. Participants in the Erasmus+ projects and volunteers from the organization also joined in organizing and conducting the relay races, supporting the schoolchildren and creating an atmosphere of team spirit and drive.

Anastasiia Komerzan, project participant from YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE also was engaged to providing the help for the exercise session.
The final stage featured an awards ceremony, where participants received commemorative gifts and medals. An atmosphere of joy, sporting excitement, and unity prevailed until the end of the celebration.
